Cover Eye Candy

This week's YA Highway Road Trip Wednesday is all about gorgeous book covers. So, here are my all time favorites:

(Lauren Oliver gets amazing book covers, doesn't she?)

(I love the original cover for this book, too. It's absolutely beautiful. But this one is gripping.)

And there you have it. There are so many gorgeous covers out there, and I'm sure I'm neglecting more than a few.  What's your favorite cover eye candy?

  3. Oooh, I adore that Delirium cover. Saw it a while ago and forgot about it. So pretty.

  4. All of these are fantastic choices. I agree, Lauren Oliver gets pretty awesome covers. Delirium's is gorgeous, though not as gripping as Before I Fall's. There's something about those eyes that makes it hard to look away.

  5. Oh my gosh, how the hell did I miss the new cover for ATU?! It's incredible! Your selection is amazing, I adore all these covers, too.

  6. Love your list. I agree with all of your choices :) Embarrassing confession: It took me forever to notice the face behind the words on Delirium. Duh! Maybe if I'd crossed my eyes I would have caught it sooner lol.

  7. Is that the paperback cover for ATU? I like it a lot! It also matches with the cover for A Million Suns.

  8. I hadn't seen that cover of ATU. It is awesome!

  9. I'm adding my "Ooooo!" for the cover of Across the Universe. But I'm not sure about the cover for Before I Fall. For me, the lettering gets a little lost with the big face and the grass. But that's just me.

This is actually a really good exercise. Hopefully one day I'll be asked to critique possible covers for my own work. This makes me think about what I like and don't like. Thanks for the help, Lora! :)

  10. Hi Lora,

Even though I see that you've received the Liebster Award before, I wanted to pop by and let you know that I've included you on my list of five as well!

  12. I've got two favorite covers - the original cover for THE FOREST OF HANDS AND TEETH and my agency sister's ANNA DRESSED IN BLOOD by Kendare Blake.
